And in your home?

I start from the devices you already have and make them work together.

Whatever is still missing, I add.

I turn your house into a smart home.

One control system for energy, comfort and security.

About me

Open source, no mandatory cloud or subscription: the controls stay in your house.

I turn your house into a smart home.

One control system for energy, comfort and security. All of it made to measure.

1 · Control and insight

Energy

Use your solar power and avoid feeding it into the grid.

  • AI forecasts today’s solar output and plans the devices around it
  • Battery charges on solar power
  • Car charges on the midday sun
  • Heat pump makes hot water on solar power
  • Pool warms up on what’s left over
  • In the evening, the battery powers the house
  • Usage and yield: Self-use from 38% to 81% in one month
  • Bigger battery: 5 kWh, paid back in 5 years
  • Energy: Better contract found for your energy bill
Let’s talk: Energy
The same house in the midday sun, seen from the side: the solar panels shine and the car is at the charger.
The house at sunrise: a thin arc over the roof traces today’s sun.
The house in the midday sun, seen from outside: a line runs from the battery to the car at the charger.
The house in the afternoon: a line runs across the lawn to the pool’s heat pump, and a warm ring spreads on the water.
The house in the evening: a line runs from the battery along the wall to the light by the front door, which comes on; the windows are dark.

2 · Light and ventilation that run themselves

Comfort

Light and air, from coming home to sleep.

  • The house set to whoever is home
  • Humidity in the shower: the ventilation goes up
  • Stale air, too much CO₂: ventilation up and the bed mat follows your sleep
Let’s talk: Lighting and ventilation
The house at dusk: a figure stands at the closed front door, under the lit entrance light.
Dusk, from above: a figure steps over the threshold and the hall light comes on.
The house at dusk, from above: the roof and the first floor are lifted away and a figure waits at the closed front door.
The bedroom at night: a figure sleeps, an air-quality sensor turns ochre, the vent above the bed opens and the bed mat lights up.

3 · Alarm, cameras and sensors

Security

Alarm on, shutters down.

  • Shutters down, lights off
  • Alarm on: doors and windows watched
  • Cameras physically switch on, inside and out
Let’s talk: Alarm, cameras and sensors
The house at night under the stars and the moon: the shutters are down and the house is asleep.
The house at night, from outside: the shutters are down, the alarm is on, the camera in the living room turns to face the room and the outdoor camera lights up.
The house on the island at sunrise, at rest again.

Projects

  1. The stylised house at midday, the sun above the roof
    Energy
  2. A bedroom in the house, someone asleep, a night light on
    Comfort
  3. The stylised house at night under the moon, the shutters closed
    Security

The first projects will appear here once they’re finished.

About me

I am Bram, a biomedical engineer and automation engineer. I develop controls for homes in Flanders, Belgium. I start from the devices you already have, work out how they can cooperate, and test the solutions myself before I propose them.

Working together

We start with a conversation that is free and comes with no obligation; if you want to go ahead, I’ll send you a quote. I tailor everything to your home, existing or new build, with a wide choice of materials and an interface you pick yourself. The controls are open source.

More about me

Contact

Tell me what you’d like to control at home, and we’ll arrange a visit.

Which devices you already have, what is not working together, and whether it is an existing house or a new build.

I read your message myself and reply personally. There is no automatic confirmation.

I only use your details to answer your question (see the privacy statement).
